Wasdale Mountain Rescue Team has been in existence for 35 years and currently has 40 team members. Those in trouble or who fall ill receive a professional, world-class service from a group of highly trained, highly motivated individuals. The team members, mountaineers themselves, are unpaid volunteers who give up their time and skills going to the aid of any one in need on the hills 24 hours a day, 365 days a year.
As with all mountain rescue teams in the UK, there is no governnment funding for vital equipment and operational costs which are financed solely through public donations.
As someone who loves the mountains and has a strong connection with the Wasdale valley, I am pleased to support Wasdale Mountain Rescue through donations based on fee earning work.
Individual donations made directly by my clients and professional contacts are also encouraged and appreciated. Alternatively, any cheques made payable to Wasdale Mountain Rescue and passed to me will reach the team promptly.
